Kinap Athletic Club After School Camp

Kinap Athletic Club after school camp is for pre-primary to grade 6 students from 2:00 pm to 5:45 pm Monday to Friday after the regular school day ends from September 2024 to March 2025.

Daily scheduled activities will be planned by a Head Camp Counsellor with staff involvement. We offer supervised camp programming with many engaging activities that will be sure to make memorable experiences for all our participants.

Operating a camp is a Team effort. Head camp counsellor, counsellors, volunteers and members of the Board work together to produce a safe and fun experience where campers feel accepted, successful and energized. We are highly focused on outdoor structured activities and games on our lakeside playground.

Please Note:

  • The after school camp does not have swimming and boating activities.

  • The program is running from September 2025 to June 2026.

  • The phones are only operational when staff are on shift for programs. Communication through email is the best method to reach us.

  • Kinap Athletic Club (181 Greenough Drive) is on the bus route of O’Connell Elementary (HRCE Transportation) and École des Beaux-Marais (Transco Transportation). Children from these schools can arrange with the transportation company for after school drop off at Kinap.

  • When there is no school, there is no after school camp. You are not charged for camp on these days.

  • We cannot support one to one staff to camper ratios at this time.

After-School Camp Registration Information

Registration for our after-school camp opens on June 7 at 10am for students attending O’Connell Elementary and École des Beaux-Marais. There are 30 spots available, and registering reserves your child’s place in the program.

How to Register:

1. Visit Kinap.ca

2. Go to the “After School Camp” menu

3. Select “Register Now”

4. The camp will be added to your cart

5. Click on your cart to check out

6. During checkout, you’ll be prompted to enter your child’s information

Program Details:

• Cost: $16 per day

• Hours: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM (weekdays after school)

• Student Arrival Times by School:

O’Connell Elementary: 2:15 PM (bus drop-off)

École des Beaux-Marais: 2:30 PM (bus drop-off)

• You are not charged for school closures due to holidays, PD days, or breaks.

Commitment:

• A full-year commitment (September–June) is required

• No mid-year breaks or temporary withdrawals

• Payments can be made monthly or in advance for multiple months

Payment Schedule:

• On August 1, registered parents will receive a password to access the monthly payment section

• Monthly payments are due on the 9th of each month for the following month:

• August 9 for September

• September 9 for October

• and so on

How to Make a Payment:

1. Visit Kinap.ca

2. Go to the “After School Camp” menu

3. Select “Payment”

4. You will be prompted to enter the password

5. Select the month to add to your cart

6. Click on the cart to checkout where you will be promoted for payment.

Please keep your payment receipt for income tax purposes.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

• You may cancel with at least 3 weeks’ notice to receive a full refund for unused days, minus a $10 administrative fee

• No refunds are given for:

– Participant absences

– Weather-related closures
